India’s Taj Mahal | Landscape
My India’s Taj Mahal is available to purchase as a standalone art print or framed and ready to hang at my shop on Etsy.
A while after creating the Adventures of the Boat, which contained a miniature version of the Taj Mahal, the perfectionist in me decided it was high time to really go for it and recreate India’s Taj Mahal again. This time I wanted to capture a more elegant and regal aspect of what this building means to India, and also the romance of the building itself.
So to do the Taj Mahal justice for India, I decided to make it look as ornate, and opulent as the Vision within Art could. This meant painting lots of metallic reds and golds into my creation, to add a bucketful of eloquence to the Taj Mahal. As we are all aware, India itself is also a hot country with sunshine galore, so it was important to make sure that the colours of the paints used in this artwork, were all colours on the warm side of the colour palette. All in all, the use of oranges, golds, reds, yellows and pinks gives my painting an eastern feel, so I feel like I have accomplished what I set out to do.
